A client came to us looking to purchase a new property to let out in Exeter, after speaking to another mortgage adviser where they were advised to sit tight due to the difficult climate.
There is no denying that COVID-19 has meant that things are trickier for many businesses to work as normal, but keen to progress their enquiry, Naomi J Ryan introduced the client to James of The Mortgage Quarter for a second opinion.
James was able, within a couple of hours, to speak with the client and place the mortgage following extensive conversations with four lenders who provided the best rates on the market. This was far from a straight forward case. Two mortgages had to be raised on two different properties, whilst making the most of the surveyors local knowledge to avoid having to wait for further surveys to take place during this current time.
Following a Friday application, we were delighted to confirm the lender had fully underwritten the case by Tuesday (yes, the following Tuesday!) with the paperwork swiftly passed onto Sam Reid of Tozers.
As always, Sam continuously kept James fully up to date, therefore, enabling James to regularly update the client on the progress leading to a start to finish process of just two weeks.
Two weeks, two mortgage applications, two drawdowns and one happy client. This was all achieved whilst in lockdown!
